Frozen Pizza
DiGiorno Rising Crust
Review by Ross Anthony

Like you, I love pizza. Being from Chicago -- I know good pizza. I've experimented with frozen pizza in the past, but the convenience factor seldom was matched with taste. Then… we tried Digiorno Rising Crust Pepperoni. Oh yes! Very nice. The crust really does rise. It's probably the most impressive "frozen pizza" crust I've ever bitten into -- even better than from some pizza places. And to tell you the truth, I'm really not a crust kind of guy. I'm a sauce guy. I like this sauce. I like the generous amount of sauce. And the pepperoni's are good too. This is simply a very good frozen pizza.

My gf who's a crust kinda gal, is impressed as well. One of these is just about perfect for the two of us. At about 7 bucks, that's quite a recession-friendly cable-movie night in. And you don't even have to play games with some pizza guy on the phone, or get frustrated when the pizza's 30 minutes late. In fact, 5 minutes to warm the oven, 23 minutes to cook -- it's done. Though I do recommend waiting a few minutes as not to burn the roof of your mouth.

Lastly, on my own I can eat 2/3's of one of these. So when I open the box, I strategically cut the inside plastic around the frozen pizza. Put the pizza directly on the rack (no foil, no pan), take it from oven to cardboard disc thing that came in the box, cut it there. No messy dishes to wash. And I seal up the remaining pieces into the plastic sealer that came with the pizza -- so no additional waste. I've got it down.

Also, gf says Costco's got 'em in an even cheaper 3-pack.
