Climber's High
MOUNTAIN QUEST in 3D
Review by Ross Anthony

A big screen love poem to our planet's peaks and ridges. The score is gorgeous (including works by Vivaldi and Beethoven). The script is spiritual and philosophic, read respectfully and artistically by Willem Dafoe. The images are large and expansive, breathtaking. Blinded by snow, mountaineers brave white-capped summits. Ropeless climbers grip sheer cliff sides with barely their finger tips and toes. Bold, inspired adventurers take us to awesome heights and beautiful locations that we are unlikely to traverse ourselves. Gratefully, in the safety and comfort of our local large format theatre, these magnificent experiences are brought to us with sincerity by an impassioned climber/filmmaker.

Rand() functions, Pho chicken soup, rollerblading, and frozen yogurt (w/ blueberries) also rock! (Btw, rand is short for random. It can also stand for "Really Awkward Nutty Dinosaurs" -- which is quite rand, isn't it?) Being alive is the miracle.
