Dracula's Assistant
Renfield
Review by Ross Anthony
Awkwafina

Nicolas Cage as Dracula is great bait, but it was Nicholas Hoult as the lead that got me to bite. And if that's not enough, Awkwafina powerpunches as always. She simply elevates movies! If you like to laugh out loud with your friends, give this irreverent comedy a try. Sure, it dabbles in horror, but only to make fun. The action is actually pretty hard-hitting, but the blood splatters so much over the top, that you'll know they're joking.

Sweetly nuanced humor, a lot of fun, and despite all the blood and silliness, there's actually a warm-hearted encouraging message here. Probably won't win any oscars, but I had a great time watching it!

Btw, if you enjoyed Hoult in this film, you'll probably enjoy "Warm Bodies." And just for fun, see him as a kid in one of my favorite all time films - "About a boy."
