A straight forward, blunt, honest portrayal of the points of view of three American Doctors who opt to fly to Palestine and heal the injured. They ask the US to stop funding an army that routinely attacks hospitals and children. All three doctors are easy to like and respect, and well spoken. The filmmaker's access feels very broad. The views expressed are limited to these three, there are no other parties expressing counter arguments. That said, I'm sure the doctors would say that this is the balance that mainstream news is lacking.
Important, gripping, painful. I think filmmakers capture and portray the tone just right - aside for a 2 minute music-backed drive to the end of the film, that "music video" felt like another film all together, and manipulative. I did not see the need for that. I fear it may insult some viewers.
Still, this film represents a point of view that is otherwise very hard to find. No one will argue the entire situation is not easily resolved or even understood. But, I do hope that all sides, are interested in understanding all sides.
