Barry Pearl Interview
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change
Interview by Ross Anthony

I spoke with Barry Pearl who is directing "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change" for its Long Beach, CA run at International City Theatre from Feb 20 - Mar 8, 2026.

From the Press Release: By turns endearing, hilarious and deeply relatable, the musical explores the thrills and pitfalls of dating, romance, marriage and long-term commitment, from first dates and second guesses to in-laws and everything in between, capturing nearly every stage of romantic life with warmth and humor. It's the second longest-running off-Broadway musical and the longest-running revue in off-Broadway history.

Directed by Barry Pearl, 2026 performances take place February 20th - March 8th.
