As quirky silly films go, this one will make you laugh. For a straight comedy, somewhat on the low-brow, this picture packs some amazing acting prowess. Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Jason Bateman … these are some excellent actors, with star power to boot. But don’t expect much dramatic or emotional impact, the tension is almost always built with the sole purpose of the joke to follow. The silly circumstance, clever banter, good timing, pace, and healthy sense of humor keep the film rolling. All those big names, plus smaller ones rise to the occasion and, heck if they don’t look like they’re all having fun doing it.
